May only be applied with a suitable varnish brush at room temperature to the layer of oil paint after it has dried completely, i.e. after 8 – 12 month at the earliest.

This versatile varnish is used to bring back the original paint quality of dry or dull oil paints. Daler-Rowney Retouching Varnish can be reduced with solvents, and it is much thinner than final top coat varnishes. It can be used as a preliminary varnish as soon as the paint surface is dry to the touch, since oil paints can continue to dry out through the film. This can be useful for varnishing a new painting before an exhibition. After a painting is fully dry, a retouching varnish can be removed with turpentine or mineral spirits prior to final varnishing, or it can be left underneath the final varnish.

AQUA watercolour ground, coarse is ready to use and should be applied pure with a pallet knife onto the painting ground.

Ready-to-use binder for Schmincke Oil bronzes. For brilliant metallic effects on oil paintings and several other surfaces like wood, metal or gypsum. The gilding remains after drying soluble to turpentine respectively turpentine substitute. (Pre-tests are recommended prior to the application of varnish!).Mix 3 parts Schmincke oil-bronze and 2 parts bronze medium with a painting knife shortly before application.

Impasto for oil paints is a thick, cohesive paste for modeling and creating thick layers on canvas. It can be mixed with oil paints to create texture on the surface. It does not lose volume and is very durable
