Graphite in tube. It was made from ground graphite and gum arabic. Graphite has a slightly cooler shade of black than liquid carbon and does not granulate as much. Water-soluble graphite allows you to produce work with an effect similar to water-based paint. The graphite particles are slightly larger than other pigments used in watercolor. When dry, the graphite is matte.

Is made of melted charcoal and arabic gum. The particles of charcoal are small and have the richest black tones, which enables to create any work just then same as with a water-based paint. As the charcoal particles are larger than other pigments used in watercolors, the effect you get is graininess. It can be effected by more rough paper used and by the amount of water added. When dry it is matt and will have varying areas of texture and granulation. As the arabic gum is a good re-soluble medium it allows to re-use Charcoal Water, similarly to watercolor paints. Anacrosina is a product for cleaning old oil paintings. Shake before use. Apply with a fine brush to the dirty surface of the painting, leave the anacrosine there for a short time and then gently remove. Finally, clean the surface with a soft sponge dampened with warm water. Warning: this is a very strong product suitable for professionals, it must be tested before use. If handled carelessly, anacrosine can ruin the image! Also make sure it is a pure oil painting before applying. Some old paintings combine oil and gouache/tempera, where the water-based paint will deteriorate quickly.
