Watercolors granulation fluid is a special liquid medium that gives an irregular, mottled or grainy appearance to watercolor paints, the pigments of which usually create smooth surfaces. Adding a granulating medium to paints with pigments that are already granulating will further enhance this effect. For more expressive granulation, it is best to use fluid-medium instead of water and paint on rough paper. A softer effect will be obtained on hot press paper with a satin finish. It is recommended to paint horizontally.
Natural medium based on acacia honey, suitable for increasing the gloss and intensity of watercolour paints. It promotes the "granulation" effect, prolongs the drying of the paint and increases elasticity. We recommend to use rather smaller quantities, the ideal ratio must be tested according to the type of colour and the desired consistency.

This powder can be used in two ways: by applying it to the paper before painting, it will have a similar effect to masking fluid – the first layer should be painted immediately after applying the powder. The second method is to apply it by sprinkling it on a wet watercolor surface and then gently rubbing it in. In both cases, a pleasant, irregular rubbing effect will be achieved, as the powder has hydrophobic properties. Areas covered with the powder remain white, similar to masking fluid, revealing the texture of the paper. However, the covered areas can be easily erased with an eraser and then re-coated with watercolors.
