Effect medium for water-colours. Allowes sparkling pearlescent effects. Retards drying; remains watersoluble after drying like a water-colour; to be mixed with water-colours or applied pure. Shake before use.
Intermediate varnish for painting in oil. Colourless; non-yellowing; very fast drying; might soften justdried oil colours; should not be used in layers with other final based on mineral spirit (tends to dull!); not suitable as a final varnish; might not be diluted with turpentine substitute (50019); the dried varnish layer remains soluble in alcohol.
Final satin-matt varnish with UV-protector for several painting techniques (e.g. oil. acrylic, gouache; also suitable for inkjet-prints, art prints and photos).May only be applied to the layer of paint after it has dried completely (drying time for oil colours: at least 8 – 12 month; drying time for thin acrylic coulours: approx. 3 days, for thicker acrylic layers: approx. 1 – 2 weeks; drying time for gouache: approx. 1 day).
A “neutral”, nearly non-yellowing painting- and thinning medium for oil colours. Applicable for all painting techniques except for ground motifs on slightly absorbent undergrounds (not “lean” enough); has only a low impact on drying time. For dilution use terpin (max. 30%). Dosage: 10 to max. 20%.
Ready-to-use binder for Schmincke Oil bronzes. For brilliant metallic effects on oil paintings and several other surfaces like wood, metal or gypsum. The gilding remains after drying soluble to turpentine respectively turpentine substitute. (Pre-tests are recommended prior to the application of varnish!).Mix 3 parts Schmincke oil-bronze and 2 parts bronze medium with a painting knife shortly before application.
Final varnish for paintings in oil. Glossy; colourless; non- yellowing; age-resistant; fast drying.The product is ready to use, but can be diluted with e.g. turpentine substitute. May only be applied with a suitable varnish brush at room temperature to the layer of oil paint after it has dried completely, i.e. after 8 – 12 month at the earliest.
