Schmincke

Retarder is ready to use and should be mixed with acrylic colours on a separate palette in a ratio of max. 30 %. The effect depends on the amount of added medium; adding around 20 % extends the colour’s drying time by approx. 50 %. The product has no properties for film formation and therefore should not be use in pure form! The product can be diluted with water. Please clean tools as soon as possible with water or water and soap. Just dried acrylic colours can be removed with brush cleaner 50051 / 50052. Please don´t use the product below temperatures under 10 °C object- and room-temperatures. Close immediately after use. Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from frost. Individual pre-tests are required.

Gel medium increases buttery character of oil colours and decreases drying time. Useful for impasto techniques and knife application. Add to oils in maximum ratio of 1:4. Contains alkyd resin.
