Transparent primer 500 ml

A transparent, light-resistant and non-aging primer for oil and acrylic colours and pastel with slightly absorbent character. Forms an elastic, matt, slightly rough film after drying. Transparent primer is ready to use, but can be diluted with max. 10% of water.

Impasto medium (megilp)

Pasty medium for oil colours. Suitable for prima- and putty-knife painting technique. Preserves the natural tone and buttery character of an oil colour; accelerates drying and supports the through drying of thicker oil layers. There is no change of the product quality based on the colour change of the raw material stand oil. Dosage: 10 to max. 30%

RAPID medium

Very fast drying medium for oil colours. Especially recommended for prima painting, transparency painting, and also for the application of upper colour layers on already dried layers; increases gloss and transparency. Quick application is necessary as the mixture dries fast on the pallet. Close immediately after use. Dosage: 10 to max. 20%.

Siccative dark 60 ml.

Very fast-drying additive for oil colours. Provides fast surface drying and even thorough drying. ATTENTION: Add only in drops to the oil colour otherwise colour may darken, stick, wrinkle or even tear off. Dosage: max. 0,1%.

Medium W

Liquid medium for mixing oil colours with water instead of turpentine or turpentine substitute. Increases gloss and transparency; harmonizes drying process; odourless. Shake before use. Mix 2 parts of oil colour and 1 part of medium W on a palette, than add water like you want; if necessary add more medium W. Painting tools can be cleaned with water. There is no change of the product quality based on the color change of the raw material alkyd resin. Dosage: 50%.

Alkyd Flow Medium, 75 ml

Slightly thinner than Liquin or other Alkyd gel mediums, it increases the transparency and flow of oil colour, allowing paint to be brushed out more smoothly. Alkyd flow medium reduces drying time.

Medium N

A “neutral”, nearly non-yellowing painting- and thinning medium for oil colours. Applicable for all painting techniques except for ground motifs on slightly absorbent undergrounds (not “lean” enough); has only a low impact on drying time. For dilution use terpin (max. 30%). Dosage: 10 to max. 20%.

Linseed oil,cold pressed

Poppy oil, purified

A clear oil medium to mix with and reduce light colors. Less inclined to yellow than Linseed Oil, but slower drying. Enhances gloss and flow, but too high a proportion prevents the color from thorough drying.

Linseed oil, boiled

Linseed oil boiled with oil-soluble siccatives. A little more yellowing than linseed oil and stand linseed oil; dries faster than linseed oil and stand linseed oil. Binding component for oil colours and oil painting mediums; binder for own production of non-white oil and tempera colours.

Poppy oil, bleached

Bleached poppy oil. Less yellowing than linseed oil; slower drying than linseed oil varnish, linseed oil and stand linseed oil. Turpentine substitute

Mixture of solvents with similar properties to turpentine oil (50024, 50102). Gentle odour. Thinner for oil colours, oil panting mediums and varnishes based on mineral spirit; not mixable with varnishes based on alcohol; solvent for dammar resin, but not for mastic resin.

Phöbus A restoring medium 60ml

Reviver to restore brittle and dull oil-colour layers which have been through dried over a long period. Works more efficient than oil of turpentine or turpentine substitute (50019). Rub in the medium sparingly (!) with a soft lint-free cloth until original brightness is regained. The necessary penetration time depends on the hardness of the colour layers. On principle: as short as possible. Remove the medium carefully from the surface with oil of turpentine or turpentine substitute . Follow-up treatment with final or picture varnish is recommended (please wait some weeks until the picture layers has been consolidate.

Schmincke Varnish remover

Product works more efficient than oil of turpentine (50024, 50102) or turpentine substitute (50019). Apply varnish remover with a soft lint-free cloth to a small area; moisten the varnish with lightly (!) rotary motions and take it off carefully with the cloth. Observe the softening process of the colour layer. Pre-tests before use!

Universal varnish AEROSPRAY, 400ml

Final varnish with UV-protector for several painting techniques (e.g. oil. acrylic, gouache; also suitable for inkjet-prints, art prints and photos).May only be applied to the layer of paint after it has dried completely (drying time for oil colours: at least 8 – 12 month; drying time for thin acrylic coulours: approx. 3 days, for thicker acrylic layers: approx. 1 – 2 weeks; drying time for gouache: approx. 1 day).
